*Lucknow, October 10* The Uttar Pradesh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is working on a war footing to provide relief to people affected by floods. As part of these efforts, Urban Development and Energy Minister Arvind Kumar Sharma conducted an on-site inspection of the flood-affected Faizullaganj-Daud Nagar area of Lucknow to assess the situation. He met affected families, listened to their grievances and distributed relief materials. He also directed the concerned officials to ensure immediate assistance to those affected and ensure that there is no negligence in relief and rescue operations.During the inspection, the minister instructed officials to ensure that flood-affected families face no difficulty in accessing food, safe drinking water, medicines and essential daily-use items. He directed them to continuously monitor the situation in the area and resolve residents’ grievances on priority.Minister A.K. Sharma also inspected the relief camps set up for flood-affected people and reviewed the facilities and medical arrangements available there. He directed the health department team and concerned officials to ensure the availability of essential medicines, adequate medical facilities and healthcare services at the camps. He also emphasised maintaining cleanliness in affected areas and taking necessary measures to prevent diseases caused by waterlogging.The Urban Development Minister directed officials to ensure that there is no negligence in relief operations in flood-affected areas. Relief materials and other essential facilities must be provided in accordance with the needs of affected people. He instructed officials to remain active in the field, continuously monitor the situation and respond promptly to ensure relief reaches those in need.Minister A.K. Sharma distributed relief materials in the flood-affected area. Local residents expressed their gratitude upon receiving the assistance. Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Kumar, and officials from the Municipal Corporation and concerned departments were present during the inspection.
